Ruby Laster Alexander,93, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, October 21, 2023, at Trinity Elms in Clemmons, NC.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Thursday, October 26, 2023, at Speedwell Presbyterian Church Cemetery with Dr. Charles Howell officiating.
A native of Birmingham, AL, she was a daughter of the late George Thomas “Tom” and Velma Palmer Laster and she had lived in Rockingham Co. since 1974. Mrs. Alexander was a member of Speedwell Presbyterian Church where she had served as an Elder and was a member of the Women of the Church. She was a retired Physical Therapist with Rockingham Co. Home Health and she had volunteered with the Caregivers of Rockingham County and with the Rockingham County Meals on Wheels. Mrs. Alexander was preceded in death by her husband: Ralph Smith Alexander and a sister: Evelyn Fincher.
She is survived by nieces: Jeanette Chandler and husband: Bobby of Leeds, AL, Martha Hollingsworth and husband: Dennis of Irondale, AL, and by Robin A. Embry and husband: Ronald of Winston Salem, NC.
The family requests that memorials be made to: Speedwell Presbyterian Church 862 Ironworks Rd. Reidsville, NC 27320.
