Obituary: ROSA DALTON TAYLOR

Rosa Dalton Slaughter Taylor, 95, of Eden passed away on Thursday, June 23, 2022, at the Brian Center of Eden.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 1, 2022, at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

Rosa was born in Stoneville on September 12, 1926, a daughter of Leonard Dalton and Della Mae Watkins Dalton, both deceased.  She was a retired textile mill worker and a homemaker.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Samuel Slaughter; her second husband Ralph Taylor; her son, Jerry Taylor; and her stepdaughter, Glenda Blackwell.

Rosa is survived by her daughters, Linda Craddock of Efland, Joan Pratt of Eden, and Sammie Slaughter (Wiley Lowe) of Reidsville; her stepchildren, Deloris Taylor, Mike Taylor, and Daryl Taylor; her sister, Emma McCoy of High Point; her grandchildren, Beverly Jones, Teresa Hein, Brian Craddock, Jennifer Hankins, Beth Boothe, Clay Pratt, and Kaitlyn Lowe Leggett; her 11 great grandchildren and multiple nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the staff of Brian Center of Eden for their loving care of Mrs. Taylor during her stay there.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
