Ronald Carnell Clark, Jr. departed this life on Saturday, October 29, 2022.
He was a native of Rockingham County, North Carolina and a resident of Danville, Virginia for the past nine years. “JR”, as he was affectionately referred by family and close friends, received his early education in Reidsville and further studied in the Commonwealth of Virginia, specializing in Culinary Arts. He was an avid sportsman with a penchant for fishing, basketball and football. The Los Angeles Lakers and the Dallas Cowboys were two of his favorite teams. “JR” loved good food, cooking and was always willing to lend a helping hand to his family, friends and neighbors.
Survivors are: beloved parents, Rose White Brown (John) and Ronald C. Clark, Sr. (Darlene); aunts, Geraldine C. Millner, Marilynn C. Neal, Diane C. Wilson and Patricia C. Johnson; great-aunt, Margaret Hampton-James; great-uncle, James Hampton; best friends, Jason Reynolds, Isaac Hairston and Cory Farmer; many close and loving cousins, other relatives and friends, and of course his best four-legged friend, “Lebron”.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 4, 2022 from the Chapel Hill Progressive Primitive Baptist Church, 3360 Guerrant Springs Road, Ruffin with Elder John France presiding. The family will receive friends Friday from 12:30 until 1:00 p.m. at the church. Public viewing will be Thursday afternoon at Johnson & Sons, 115 Holderby Street, Reidsville.
