Obituary: RONALD CALLAWAY STEELE

Ronald Callaway Steele, 86, of Stoneville, passed away on Tuesday, November 19, 2024.

Ronald was born in Sumter, SC on January 20, 1938, to the late Theodore and Thelma Chavis Steele. He served in the United States Navy, was of the Baptist faith, and had a career as an air traffic controller. Ronald was a family man and always put others first. He also enjoyed following the Atlanta Braves.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Theodore Steele, Jr. and his wife Phyllis.

Those left to cherish his memory are his sons, Darren Steele of Leesville, SC, Kenny Steele (Jennifer) of Gilbert, SC, Kevin Steele of Lexington, SC, and Marc Steele (Elizabeth) of Winston Salem, his grandchildren, and his best friend Jimmy Joyce.

The family will have a service for Ronald at a later date.
