Roger Dale Gunter, 69, passed away Thursday, November 16, 2023, at Jacob’s Creek Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Madison.
There will be no formal service at this time.
A native of Rockingham County, NC, Roger was born January 22, 1954 to the late Elzie Gunter and Thelma Newman Gunter. He had worked for, both, Tultex and Southern Finishing. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Roger is survived by two sons, Garrett Gunter (Alicia) and Davis Burroughs (Amy); daughter, Mara Burroughs Morton (Eddie); along with seven grandchildren, Kinsley Gunter, Jacob Bradford, Alexis Bradford, Brayden Morton, Liam Morton, Logan Morton and Kinsey Burroughs.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his aunt, Rachel Beasley.
