Roby Richard Coleman, Sr., 88, of Reidsville, went to be with the Lord Wednesday October 26, 2022 at his daughter’s home in Burlington.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday October 29, 2022 in Thompsonville Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. John Wicker and Rev. Gary Loftis officiating. The family will see friends following the service in the Fellowship Hall of Thompsonville Baptist Church and at other times will be at the home of his daughter, Susan Shoffner, 4260 Brick Church Rd., Burlington, NC 27215. You can come by Citty Funeral Home to show your respects and sign a register Friday October 28, 2022 from 8:00 A.M. until 6:00 P.M.
A native of Johnson City, TN, he was a son of the late Coye and Laura Mabel Oliver Coleman and had lived most of his life in Caswell County. He was a former employee of Harbour Brothers Lumber Co., a former welder, a former farmer, and was a member of Thompsonville Baptist Church. Roby enjoyed fishing, hunting, watching NASCAR, the Atlanta Braves and Blue Grass Music. He enjoyed time with his family and looked forward to family gatherings. Roby was preceded in death by his wife: Delores Robertson Coleman, a son: Roby Richard “Ricky” Coleman, Jr., and a daughter: Mary Beth Elixson, eleven brothers and sisters.
Survivors include his son: Johnny Coleman (Patricia)of Reidsville, daughters: Susan Shoffner of Burlington, and Brenda Coleman of Hillsborough, a sister: Betty Ruth Price of Greensboro, loving girlfriend; Brenda Berry of Gibsonville, daughter-in-law: Janice Coleman of Reidsville, fourteen grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
