Obituary: ROBERT TUCKER COMBS, JR

Robert Tucker “R.T.” Combs, Jr., 97, went to be with his Lord on Sunday, April 21, 2024 at Authoricare of Alamance Co.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at Camp Springs Community Church and burial will follow in the church cemetery with Rev. Scott Reavis officiating. The family will see friends immediately following the service in the church fellowship hall and at other times, they will be at his residence on Browns Chapel Rd. Those wishing to pay their respects and sign a register, may do so from 8:00 AM until 6:00 PM Monday, April 22, 2024, or from 8:00 AM until 12:30 PM Tuesday, April 23, 2024 at Citty Funeral Home.

A native of Rockingham Co., he was a son of the late Robert Tucker and Mary Roberts Combs and he had lived in Caswell Co. since 1960. Mr. Combs was a member of Camp Springs Community Church and he was a retired television repair technician with the TV and Radio Clinic in Reidsville. Mr. Combs was preceded in death by his parents, his wife: Edith Underwood Combs, his great grandson: Dylan Jolley , his great great grandson: Ryan Jolley and his brothers: Thomas Combs and Irvin Combs.

He is survived by his sons: Larry Combs (Peggy) of Burlington and Tony Combs (Gail) of Reidsville, his grandchildren: Kathy Jolley (Bobby), Cindy Collins (Jason), Crystal Clapp, Teresa Doss (Rodney), Angie Dixon and Kim Moore (Tim), his great grandchildren: Magen, Shanna, Rebekah, Ashlee, Jacob, Libby, Grayson and Logan and by his 15 great great grandchildren.
