Robert Harvey Halbrook, 72, of Reidsville passed away on Friday, March 24, 2023 at his residence.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 30, 2023 at 2pm at Boone and Cooke Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Robert was born in Reidsville on March 23, 1951 a son of Howard Roosevelt Halbrook and Lucille Jacobs Rudd, both deceased. Robert started his career as a Marine after retiring from the Marine Corp he worked for the Caswell County Correctional Office and retired from there also. He was a very kind man who loved and adored all his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Robert is survived by his loving wife, Darlene Emerson Halbrook of the home; his children, Holly Stewart and husband, Barry of Reidsville, Robert Halbrook II and wife, Latashua of Swansboro, NC and Michelle Pickett and husband, Michael of Maysville, NC; his stepsister, Cheryl Cook and husband, David of Reidsville, his brother in law, Buster Emerson and Pamela Sluka of Ruffin; his sister-in-law, LaDonna Ezzelle; his grandchildren, Dustin Baker, Shelby Prescott and husband, J.P., Rebecca Sitton and husband, Zach, Hannah Halbrook, Kasey Wisnewski and Payton Stewart and his great grandson, Anthony Shields.
Robert was predeceased by his parents, Howard and Nola Halbrook and Lucille Jacobs Rudd; his brother in law, Joey Ezzelle and his sister in law, Teresa Emerson.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday evening March 29, 2023 from 6 until 8pm at Boone and Cooke Funeral Home and other times at the residence.
