Robert “Bob” Long, 68, of Reidsville, NC, passed away on Friday, September 20, 2024, with his loving family by his side. Robert was born in North Syracuse, NY, to Clara and Nelson Long.

Robert retired as a CNC machinist from Crouse Hinds after 42 years. He enjoyed being a volunteer fireman at the Mattydale Volunteer Fire Department for several years. He also enjoyed camping, boating, fishing, NASCAR races, renovating and rebuilding his classic cars, and especially being with his family. He adored his grandchildren and loved packing up his grandsons for weekend trips to camp. You could always find him in his garage. He was his family’s MacGyver and was always fixing things for anyone and everybody. His “Tool Law” was, “If I don’t have it, you don’t need it!”

In addition to his father, Nelson Long, Robert was preceded in death by his son Jason Long and daughter Amanda Long. He is survived by his mother, Clara Long, loving wife of 50 years, MaryAnne Long; his devoted children Robert Long Jr., Brandy (Joseph) Krause, and Timothy Long; grandchildren Robert III, Dylan, Justin, Kyleigh, Tyler, JoJo, Jayden, Tiara, Aleigha, and Jaylee; his beloved pets Kash and Jayce; and his siblings David (Rose) Long, Ronald (Jill) Long, and William (Joyce) Long.

Bob was very patriotic and passionate about making this country great again! In lieu of flowers, please donate to Trump National Committee, JFC Inc., PO Box 509, Arlington, VA 22216.
