Obituary: REVEREND JAMES NATHAN HALL, SR

Reverend James Nathan Hall, Sr., 84, passed away on Saturday, September 21, 2024 at Jacob’s Creek Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, September 29, 2024 at Ellisboro Baptist Church. A private inurnment will take place at Northview Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.

Reverend Hall was born on January 24, 1940 in Randolph County to the late James Wesley Hall and Stella Irene Bennett Hall. He served as a minister of the gospel for fifty-four years, serving several churches during his ministry, including seven years at Hayes Chapel in Garner. He was also involved with the YMCA organization for ten years.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Hall; brothers, Kenneth Hall, Garland Hall and Jesse Vernon Hall and sister, Vivian Bean.

Survivors include his son, James Hall, Jr. (Pamela); daughter, Suzan Murphy; grandchildren, Amber Miller (George), Patrick Farnam, Samuel Hall, Ava Hall and Judah Hall; great-grandchild, Wyatt Miller; brother, Winfred Hall and sisters, Janice Edwards (Donnie) and Sarah Heasley (Wayne) and sister-in-law, Juanita Hall.

Colonial Funeral Home in Madison is serving the family.
