Rebekah Susanne Swinney Bryant, 67, of Henry, Virginia, passed away Tuesday, May 31, 2022, at SOVAH Health of Martinsville. She was born June 2, 1954 in Eden, North Carolina, to the late James “Pete” E. Swinney and Kathleen Parker Swinney.
Susanne was of the Baptist faith. She was a 1972 graduate of John Morley Morehead High School, she received her Associates Degree in Computer Science from Patrick Henry Community College in 1986, graduated with honors, receiving a Civil Engineering Degree from A & T University in 1995, and graduated with Honors, receiving a Bachelor’s Degree in Christian Counseling from Liberty University in 2019.
She was the author of her own autobiography. Susanne had an amazing charisma that would put a complete stranger at ease. The highlight to Susanne’s life was her grandchildren. She enjoyed helping others and loved her family and friends dearly.
She is survived by her loving husband of 22 years , Larry Bryant; daughter, Rebekah Lynne Daniels (Scott) of Bonaire, Georgia; son, Josh Silvers (Mary Jane) of Ridgeway, Virginia; brother, Stephen Kieselbach; grandchildren, Kaitlynne Silvers, Ethan Silvers, Layton Daniels, Sadie Daniels, Scotlynne Daniels, and Angel Martinez; special friends, Sherry Lackey, Tanya Sprinkle, Theresa Braswell, Lauren Perry, and Ted Harris.
The funeral will be held on Sunday, June 5, 2022, at 2:00 PM, at Wright Funeral Service Chapel with Minister J.T. Clark officiating. Burial will follow at Ridgeview Cemetery, 1658 NC -135, Eden, North Carolina 27288. Visitation will be held Saturday, June 4, 2022, 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Wright funeral Service Chapel.
