Rebecca May “Becky” Knight, 79, of Madison, passed away on Friday, August 23, 2024, at the home of her son Don, in High Point.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
Becky was born in Madison on May 1, 1945, a daughter of Lowell Thomas Knight and Cassie Louise Lester Knight, both deceased. Becky was a graduate of Madison-Mayodan High School, where she played basketball.She worked at Davidson Electric (now Energy United), the Boulevard Auction, and Ace Hardware, in Mayodan. Becky was a kind and softspoken person and was devoted to her family.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Grace Knight Cayton; her brother, Thomas Lowell “T. L.” Knight; her sister-in-law Beverly “Pete” Knight; and her brothers-in-law, James Cayton, Sr., and Perry Tucker.
Becky is survived by her husband, Donnie Knight, Sr.; her son, Donnie“Don” Knight, Jr., of High Point; her sister, Janice Knight Dickson (husband Lonny), of Belews Creek; her brother, Paul Knight, of Greensboro; her sisters-in-law, Rhonda Light Knight, of Eden, Joy Tucker, of Lawsonville, and Jewel Manuel (husband Robert), of Mayodan; her brother-in-law, Doug Knight (wife Martha), of Sandy Ridge; and eleven nieces and nephews.
