Posey Glenn Donathan, 89, of Reidsville, NC went to be with the Lord Thursday August 25, 2022 at Brookdale Senior Living of Reidsville.
Graveside services will be conducted 4:00 P.M. Monday August 29, 2022 in Evergreen Memory Gardens with Rev. Billy Harmon officiating. The family will see friends at the residence.
A native of Yadkin County, he was a son of the late Jasper V. and Ida Hanks Donathan and had lived in Rockingham County most of his life. He was a retired employee of Cone Mills and after retirement worked as a groundskeeper at The Jefferson-Pilot Country Club. He took pride in looking after his yard, enjoyed gardening and sharing his vegetables with neighbors and friends. He looked forward to traveling to the beach, where he would watch the boats at Southport, NC.
Posey was preceded in death by his wife Dare Hinson Donathan, brothers: Clifton Donathan and Grover Donathan, and a sister: Irene D. Rape.
Survivors include his daughter: Linda Beville and husband “Shorty” of Reidsville, grandchildren: Michelle B. Long (David) and Charlie Beville (Brandi), great grandchildren: Dylan Long and Ethan Beville and a sister: Jean Harris of Lynchburg, VA.
The family would like to thank the staff and management of Brookdale Senior Living of Reidsville for their care and concern. Citty Funeral Home is assisting the Donathan family.
