Obituary: PHYLLIS COE COLTRANE

Phyllis Coe Coltrane, 79, of Eden passed away on Friday, May 19, 2023 at UNC Chapel Hill Hospital.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, May 22, 2023 at 2pm at Boone and Cooke Funeral Home. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service from 1 until 2pm at the funeral home.

Phyllis was born Greensboro, NC on January 3, 1944 a daughter of Jesse Arlendo Coe and Mildred Stutt Coe, both deceased. She worked as a cashier at Jerry’s restaurant for many years. She was a faithful member of Charity Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughters, Diane Woods and husband, Richie of Eden, Lorie Younger and husband, Jerry of Stoneville, Kathy Stratton and husband, Jerry of Eden and Donna Swift and husband, Jamie of Eden; her son-in-law, Kenneth Randall Corum of Eden; her sister, Nancy Stanley of Greensboro; her grandchildren, Christopher Ray Draughn and wife, Kristi, Brandi Draughn Beville and husband, Charlie, Braxton Shane Seagraves, Allyn Dale Younger and wife, Ashley, Sean Wade Younger and wife, Cassandra, Cierra Jane Isley and wife, Rhiannon, Ashley Diane Corum and husband, Eric, Pamela Dawn Lucas and Jamie Brent Swift and wife, Erica; 29 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren; and special friends, Brandi Chilton, and Danny Bean.

In addition to her parents, Phyllis was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth Leon Sharpe and her second husband, Tommy V. Coltrane; her daughter, Susan Corum; her brothers, Bill Coe and Jesse Coe; her sister, Vivian Cameron and her grandson, Kenneth Wayne Shockley; and special friend, Terri Dickerson.
