Peggy Nelson Gann, 75, passed away Wednesday afternoon, November 16, 2022, at her home.
A memorial service will be held at 2 PM on Monday, November 21st, at Mt. Hermon United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service (1 – 2 PM) at the church and other times at the home of her daughter, Marie Amos Satterfield, in Stokesdale.
Peggy was born December 7, 1946 in Rockingham County, NC, to the late Wade Nelson and Ruby Carter Nelson. She was a member of Mt. Hermon United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Ed Gann of the home; son, Barry Amos; daughter Marie Amos Satterfield (Brian); step-son, Patrick Gann; step-daughter, Heather Smith (Keith); nine grandchildren, Chanler Amos Hartley (Rob), Matthew Satterfield (Kat), Chasity Satterfield, Hunter Satterfield, Joshua Smith, Christopher Gann, Justin Smith, Felicity Gann and Jacob Smith; five great-grandchildren, Sabrina Satterfield, Matthew Satterfield, Jr., Layla Hartley, Baby Satterfield and Baby Gann, both due in December; along with her brother, Bruce Nelson.
Colonial Funeral Home & Chapel in Madison is serving the family.
