Peggy Joyce Hamilton, 83, of Reidsville, went to be with the Lord Friday March 21, 2025 at Annie Penn Memorial Hospital.
A native of Rockingham County, she was a daughter of the late Harold Warner Joyce and Nellie Griffin Warf and was a member of Community Baptist Church but most recently attended Mt. Hermon Baptist Church.
She and her late husband owned and operated Community Cleaning Service of which she was president. She was a former employee of Blue Bell, Rockingham County Schools in the cafeteria, and at one point she was the Assistant Activity Director at Maplewood Nursing Center. She had lived most of her life in Reidsville, and her claim to fame was she kept all of her grandchildren at her home when they were young. She held bible study with them each day. Peggy enjoyed spending time at the L.E.A. F. Center three days a week. While a member of Community Baptist Church, Peggy taught Sunday School, Junior Church and was a AWANA leader. She hosted numerous bible studies throughout the years, the one most close to her heart was the bible study she hosted for several ladies at her home after her husband’s death all the way up to her death. Peggy wanted everyone to know the love of the Lord. She was preceded in death by her husband: Ronald Wayne “Ron” Hamilton, Sr.
Survivors include: her daughter; Pam Hamilton Sisk (Richard) of Browns Summit, her sons: Jeff Hamilton (Melanie) and Wayne Hamilton both of Reidsville, her sister: Nelda Riggs (Larry) of Concord, grandchildren: Beth Hamilton Perry (Taylor), Rhett Martin, Hayley Hamilton Sharp (Ben), Heidi Hamilton, Riley Hamilton, great grandchildren: Olivia Perry, and Hadley Perry.
