Peggy Hand Walker, 92, passed away on Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at Ancora Compassionate Care.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, November 1, 2024 at Eden Methodist Church Cemetery. Peggy will lie in state on Thursday October 31, 2024 from 12 p.m. until 5 p.m. The family will receive friends at the home of her daughter, Judy Philpott.

Peggy was born on July 22, 1932 to the late Samuel and Minnie Hand. She was a loving mother and grandmother whose warmth and care touched the lives of everyone around her. Peggy was a fantastic cook, known for her delicious meals that brought family and friends together. She had a passion for dancing and could often be found moving to her favorite tunes. Peggy also loved to read, finding joy and solace in the pages of a good book. Her sense of humor was one of her most endearing qualities, always bringing laughter and smiles to those around her.

Survivors include her son, Larry Walker (Vickie); daughter, Judy Philpott (Mike); grandchildren, Angie Pendleton (John) and Chad Woods (Kim) and great-grandchildren, Addison, Kendall, and Jaylon.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made Ancora Compassionate Care.

Colonial Funeral Home of Madison is serving the family.
