Obituary: PAULINE OLIVER REYNOLDS

Pauline Oliver Reynolds, 90, of Penn Nursing Center went home to be with The Lord, Friday, November 25, 2022, at the Gibson House in Reidsville with her family by her side.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, November 29, 2022, at Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Harold Gearhart officiating. The family will receive friends Monday at Wilkerson Funeral Home from 6-8:00 PM and other times at Sheila and Byron Nance’s home (1459 Flat Rock Road).

Pauline was born in Rockingham County to the late, Robert and Anna Oliver. She retired from Superior Advertising but lived her life for her family. On a list of things, she loved most, she included Jesus, family, flowers, birds, and babies. Pauline was called mom by everyone and her tenacious love for her children and grandchildren carried over to everyone that came along. She always wanted a hug either giving or receiving. Along with her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Thurman Reynolds; daughters Lois Jean Reynolds and Mae Frances Reynolds Barber; grandsons, Charles Michael Patterson and Phillip Keith Benfield; great grandson Shawn Benfield; brothers James Robert Oliver and Ernest Oliver; adopted sister Polly Oliver; daughter-in-law Robin Warf Reynolds.

Pauline was the mother of 4 single births and one set of twins, Mary and Frances: she is survived by her daughters Kathy Reynolds, Mary Reynolds Gearhart and husband Harold, Sheila Reynolds Nance and husband Byron; son James Thurman “JT” Reynolds; grandchildren Michelle Marsh Troxler and husband David, Shannon Porterfield Handy and husband Robbie, Joshua Gearhart and wife Annie, Amanda Gearhart Lester and husband Justin, Rodney Hall, Scottie Hall, Tammy Barber Alvarez, Jessica Nance Englishman and husband Dustin, Hannah Nance, Russell Reynolds, Patience Reynolds, Matthew Reynolds; 31 great grandchildren; 11 great great-grandchildren; and a large extended family.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Hannah Nance for the special attention and care she gave her grandmother.
