Paul Samuel Stewart, 69, passed away on Monday, February 17, 2025.
Paul was born in Rockingham County to the late Samuel and Louise Stewart. He was a graduate of Appalachian State University and remained a lifelong fan. He worked at Reidsville Grocery for many years and eventually retired from Layman Distributing. Paul could be found almost daily at The Elks Lodge and loved to cut up with his many lifelong friends there. Paul was an avid sports fan and could quote the particulars of any game. He had a photographic memory and never forgot anything. He was well liked and respected by all who encountered him.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by, his beloved sister, Joyce Stewart.
He is survived by his loving Fiancé of 24 years, Roxie Ann Somers and her children, Shannon Goins (Chuck), Jaime Williams (Dale), Lisa Coffer (Doug); grandchildren, Ashley Goins, Jordan Goins, Josh Goins, Dakota Williams, Dalton Williams, Pressley Coffer and as Paul would say “too many great grandchildren to count”.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his honor to Ancora Compassionate Care at PO Box 281, Wentworth, NC 27357.
