Patsy Lawrence Rumley, 76, passed away Tuesday afternoon, July 18, 2023, at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro.
A memorial service will be held at 2 PM on Sunday, July 30th, at Colonial Funeral Home & Chapel.
Patsy was born October 1, 1946 in Rockingham County, NC, to the late Samuel Willard Lawrence, Sr. and Irene Vernon Lawrence. She was a good friend to many and a caring person. In her spare time she enjoyed canning, cooking, gardening and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her son, Joel Joyce; three grandchildren, Ashley Leann Kumar (Amet), Sarah Erlean Joyce and Joann Joyce; along with one great-grandchild, Donte Joyce.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Samuel Lawrence and sister, Cenobia Thorp.
Colonial Funeral Home & Chapel in Madison is serving the family.
