Otis Lee “Toad” Hill, 83, passed away on Friday, June 14, 2024.
Mr. Hill was born on February 16, 1941 in Rockingham County to the late John Willie Hill and Rachel Tucker Hill. He had many accomplishments in his lifetime that include being a fixer/mechanic in the textile industry, welldriller, tobacco farmer and gardener, owner of Hill’s Garage and later owner of Hill’s Logging, Inc. There was always a need for speed, from illegal racing to motorcycles and go-karts. He loved life, the outdoors and his many special pets, most recently, Rocky.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, J.J. Joyce; brothers, J.W. Hill and Harry Hill and sisters, Bertha Williams, Marie Moore and Carolyn Tuggle.
Survivors include his children, Keith Hill (Cindy), Natasha Dodson (Michael), Darryl Hill (Lesley), Terry Hill, Mark Hill and Otis Lee Hill, Jr.; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Dorothy Lunsford, Brenda Lewis (Tony) and Betty Conway and companion, Debbie Agee, along with her children and grandchildren.
