Oscar “Daryl” Adams, 65, passed away on Tuesday, December 12, 2023, at Ancora Compassionate Care (Hospice).
A 1:00 p.m. memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2023, at Ray Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Smith officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service beginning at 12:00 noon.
Oscar “Daryl” was born in Rockingham County on October 25, 1958, to the late Oscar Joe and Ruth Wells Adams. His occupation for 20+ years was pipefitting. Daryl was a simple man who was a loving father, grandfather, and a loving brother to his siblings. He loved the outdoors such as fishing, and camping. Daryl never met a stranger and was a selfless giver to those in need.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Oscar Devin Adams, and his extended family, Myrtle and Ronnie Wells.
Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Samantha Jane Adams of Eden; his grandchildren, Avah and Ariyah; his sister, Sandra Dawson (Carson-deceased) of Reidsville; and four brothers, James Wells (Robin) of Stoneville, Clarence Adams (Ruth) of Stoneville, Joe Adams (Brenda) of Mayodan, and Ray Adams (Lori) of Reidsville; and several nieces and nephews.
