Norman “Ray” Cox, 76, left this earthly life Sunday, October 29, 2023, at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 4, 2023, at Snow Hill Methodist Church with Reverend Keith Lawson and Reverend Doug Pryor officiating.
Ray was born on December 14, 1946, in Elizabeth City, North Carolina, to the late Earl Cox and Katherine White Ellis. He was a member of Snow Hill Methodist Church. Ray served his country in the U.S. Army, was a proud Vietnam Veteran, and was active in community events.
In addition to his parents, Ray was preceded in death by a sister Peggy Bradley.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Judy Rogerson Cox; son Billy Cox (Jenny); daughter Tina Bundy; brother Charles
Brannon (Debbie); three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; brother-in-law Gene Bradley, and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Colonial Funeral Home in Sandy Ridge is serving the family.
