

Naomi Faye LaBrie Samuels, 83, formerly of Eden went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, May 25, 2025, at Royal Park of Matthews Rehabilitation and Health Center.
Naomi was born in Hurt, Virginia on February 25, 1942, the daughter of Fred Watson LaBrie and Willard Bay George LaBrie, both deceased. She worked for Ridgeway Clocks for many years and then at Morehead Memorial Hospital. She loved writing poems and always loved to share them with others. She was of the Christian faith, a member of Central Christian Church attending as long as she was able. Another of her interests was family ancestry research. She loved her family and her numerous pets.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Marvin Samuels; and her brother, Fred Forest LaBrie.
Left to cherish her memory are her son, Mark Randall Samuels and wife Pam; her daughter, Karen Samuels and partner Wanda Hubert; her grandchildren, Elizabeth Rose Samuels and Matthew Joseph Samuels; her sisters-in-law, Barbara Jordan, Judy Bray, Linda Samuels; her brother-in-law, Edward Jordan; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to UNC Rockingham Rehabilitation in Eden, Forsyth Hospital in Winston-Salem, Royal Park in Matthews as well as the hospice staff of Matthews for their excellent care of Naomi during her time of illness.
