Nannie Idell Hodge Joyce, 89, of Madison, passed away on Wednesday, October 26, 2022, at her home.
A 3:00 p.m. funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 30, 2022 at Ray Funeral Home with Rev. Roy Little officiating. Burial will follow at Wilson Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service beginning at 2:00 p.m. and all other times at the home.
Idell was born in Rockingham County on December 3, 1932, to the late Jerry and Lydia Mae Shaffer Hodge. She was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Edward Joyce; her son, Jadie Joyce; her sister, Lowney Pearman; her brothers, Lowel and Jadie Hodge; and her great-grandson, J.J. Joyce.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Jerry Joyce, Jean Gann (Don), Janice Minor, and Joan Joyce all of Madison; 13 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
