Mrs. Nancy Isley, age 90, of Stokesdale, NC, peacefully went to her heavenly home on January 16, 2024, at 11:08 am. She was surrounded by her loving husband and family.

A native of Guilford County, NC, Mrs. Isley was born on Dec. 31, 1933, to the late Paul Jarvis Pegram and Mozelle Bullock Pegram. She is the wife of her beloved, Earl Ray Isley of 70 years. She was a lifelong member of Oak Level Baptist Church in Stokesdale, NC where she served as a Sunday School teacher and her and her husband had been known to sing in a trio. She graduated from Stokesdale High School in 1952 as valedictorian. During her life, she worked in retail at Sears at Friendly Shopping Center.

Before her employment at Sears, she enjoyed her love of children by keeping children in her home. After she retired from Sears, she worked at Oak Level Baptist Academy as the office manager.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Isley is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Isley Schneider (Frank), of Ruffin, NC and her son, David Isley (Tracy) of Winston Salem, NC. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren, Veronica Schneider Martin (Brandon) of Stoneville, NC, Frank Schneider IV (Jennifer) of Summerfield, NC, James Schneider (Faith) of Lodi, WI, Lyndsey Isley (John Luppino) of Kernersville, NC and Garrett Isley of Winston Salem, NC. Also surviving Mrs. Isley are sixteen great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Isley is also survived by a brother and two sisters, Mickey Pegram (Elaine) of SC, Judy P. Smith of Texas, and Elaine Pegram Smith of NC.

She was preceded in death by her son, Gary Earl Isley; two brothers, Alvin Pegram (Marylene), Marvin Pegram (Shirley) and a sister, Magdeline P. Stewart (Charles).

Funeral services will be conducted at Oak Level Baptist Church in Stokesdale, NC on Sunday, January 21, 2024, at 3pm. A visitation will be held at the church on January 21, 2024, at 2pm. Interment will follow in church cemetery.
