Nancy Kallam Willard, 88, went to her long awaited heavenly home on Thursday, February 23, 2023.
The funeral service will be conducted at 4 p.m. on Monday, February 27, 2023 at Stokesdale Baptist Church with Reverend Darrell Freeman officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends beginning at 3 p.m.on Monday at the church.
Mrs. Willard was born on September 28, 1934 in Rockingham County to the late Harvey Lee Kallam and Pencie Mae Joyce Kallam. She was a longtime member of Stokesdale Baptist Church, where she and her husband served in numerous capacities. Her greatest joy was her precious family and her Friday outings to get her hair done, followed by breakfast with her beloved husband. She was a phenomenal cook and enjoyed relaxing on her porch.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Hilda “Bootie” Kallam and brother, Harvey Lee Kallam, Jr.
Survivors include the love of her life, Ronnie Fount Willard; children, Robin Rickard (Randy), Terry Willard (Ellen) and Mary Howells (Richard); grandchildren, Chase Rickard (Kasey), Zack Sparks (Kari), Josh Rickard (Destiny), Katie Curtiss (John) and Elijah Willard; great-grandchildren, Braylen Kendrick, Kashtyn Rickard, Olivia Hazel Sparks, Westyn Rickard, Hayden Rickard and Hattie Louise Sparks and sister, Mildred Barrett.
The family wishes to thank Mrs. Willard’s special friend and caregiver, Donna Newsome for her genuine love and care.
