Nancy Carol Cross Anderson, 85, passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2023.
A 2:00 p.m. graveside inurnment will be held on Thursday, January 19, 2023, at Danville Memorial Gardens with Pastor Calvin Adams officiating.
Nancy was born in Belington, WV on September 30, 1937, to the late William and Ruth Scott Cross. She was of the Baptist faith and attended both Eden Baptist and Grace Baptist Churches. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. Nancy enjoyed fishing, cooking, camping, and sewing. She also had a green thumb and loved gardening.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rudy Anderson; her first husband, George Irvin Harville; her sisters, Wilda Joan Donavant and Beverly Roach; and her brother, Lowell “Bubby” Cross.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children; Melvin Cross (Paula) of Stoneville, George Irvin “Junior” Harville (Lynn) of Eden, Mindy Ruth Harris (Mike) of Martinsville, and Cindy Stanley (Robert) of Stoneville; her brother, Randy Cross (Margaret) of Summerfield; her grandchildren, William Michael Adkins, Michael J. Harris, Sierra Harris, Sara Wallace, Chris Cross, Sydney M. Stanley, Bobbie Rae Stanley, Dillon Harville, and Haley Harville; great grandchildren, Jase Michael Adkins, Olivia Wallace, Harper Harville, and Tyson Strader; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Rockingham County, P.O. Box 281, Wentworth, NC 27375 or to a charity of one’s choice.
