Obituary: MOLLIE TULLOCH STEVENS

Mrs. Mollie Tulloch Stevens died August 1, 2022, at her daughter’s home after a brief but difficult battle with cancer.
Mrs. Stevens was born May 30, 1935, in Rockingham County. She was the daughter of the late Ellen Amos Tulloch. She graduated from Mayodan High School. She worked at Sears in Greensboro for many years as a keypunch operator. She later worked at Stoneville Furniture until she retired to be her mother’s caregiver. She enjoyed reading and doing crossword puzzles. She was a devoted member of the Episcopal Church of the Messiah and a hard-working member of the Episcopal Church Women.
In addition to her mother, Mrs. Stevens was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Stafford (Holly) Stevens and her brother, Charles (Sonny) Tulloch.
She is survived by her daughter Rhonda Heath and son-in-law, Tracy Heath; sisters-in-law, Betty Harter and Rena Stevens; grandson, Dane Heath and wife Amy; and two great grandsons, Cameron and Zachary Heath. She also leaves behind her dear friend and baptismal sponsor, Esteen Cardwell.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on August 4, 2022 at Ray Funeral Home and all other times at the home of Rhonda and Tracy Heath, 1254 Dillard Road, Walnut Cove. A graveside service will be held on Sunday, August 7, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at the Episcopal Church of the Messiah, 114 S. 2nd Ave, Mayodan in the Memorial Garden.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Rockingham County, P.O. box 281, Wentworth, NC 27375 or to Episcopal Church of the Messiah, 114 S. 2nd Ave, Mayodan, NC 27027.
The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to Hospice of Rockingham County, especially Amanda, Leandra, Tina, and Destiny for their loving care and support during Mrs. Stevens final illness.
