Mitchell Dean Collins, 58, passed away Saturday evening, July 16, 2022, at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro.
A funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Friday, July 22nd, at Colonial Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Mayodan Municpal Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening, 6 – 8 PM at Colonial Funeral Home and other times at the residence, 315 N. Fourth Avenue in Mayodan.
Mitchell was born September 7, 1963 in Guilford County, NC. Prior to becoming disabled, he ran his own business, Mitchell Stone Work. Mitchell enjoyed riding dirt bikes, skateboarding, woodworking, drawing and listening to rock and roll music. He loved the New England Patriots.
He is survived by his father, Robert Wilson Collins and step-mother, Pamela Neal Collins of Mayodan; brother, Mike Collins; half-brother, Ernie Bullins; his forever love, Sherry Bullins Slate and his best friend, Rocky Crouch.
Mitchell was preceded in death by his mother, Bessie Mae Bullins and step-mother, Brona Collins.
