Mitchell Clay “Mitch” Pike, 79, of Reidsville went to be with the Lord Saturday August 3, 2024 at the Gibson House formerly Hospice of Rockingham County.
A native of Rockingham County, he was a son of the late William Clay and Mozelle Smith Pike and had lived most of his life in Greensboro. He was a retired printer for Clinton Press in Greensboro and had attended Covington Wesleyan Church as a youth. He enjoyed building ships to scale, crafting many different models and he enjoyed classic rock and all music in general. He was passionate about woodworking and working in his yard. He loved all sports especially the UNC Tarheels, the Carolina Panthers and NASCAR. Mitch was preceded in death by his brothers: Ronnie Pike and Wayne Pike. His greatest accomplishment in life was his children and grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years: Debra Taylor Pike of the home, son: Adam Clay Pike and wife Virgina Ann of Reidsville, daughter: Sarah P. Manning and husband Jason of Greensboro, sister-in-law: Linda Waynick and husband Jimmy of Reidsville, and his special grandchildren: Leighton Pike and James Clay Pike.
The family would like to give special thanks to Krystal and the staff of Ancora Compassionate Care for their care and help throughout Mitch’s illness.
