Miles Bentley Stadler, 91, of Reidsville, went to be with the Lord on Friday, November 8, 2024, at his home after a short illness.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, November 11, 2024, at Grace Fellowship at South Park with Rev. Mark Tanner, Rev. Chris Thore and Rev. Dennis Chapmon officiating. Burial will be in Lowe’s United Methodist Church Cemetery with military rites.

A native of Rockingham County, he was a son of the late Lewis Ingram and Frances Elizabeth Stanfield “Fannie” Stadler and had lived in the Williamsburg Community of Rockingham County his entire life. A U.S. Army Corporal who served during the Korean Conflict, he was a retired farmer and a member of Grace Fellowship at South Park. He was a former manager of Farmers Co-Op Tobacco Warehouse, and he owned and operated Stadler Quail Shooting Preserves from 1985 until 2018. A charter member of the Williamsburg Volunteer Fire Department, he was a former Boy Scout Leader. Miles was a former member of Lowe’s United Methodist Church and the Reidsville Alliance Church, where he taught Sunday School at both churches. From 1972 until 1982, he was a part of the United Methodist Church Lay Witness Program. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Robert Stadler and Leonard Stadler (Dorothy), and his sister, Frances L. Underwood (Howard); a brother-in-law: Rev. Henry Pollock, his sister-in-law: Ann Stadler, and an infant sister, Frances S. Stadler.

Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Colleen Cobb Stadler, of the home; daughters: Karen S. Cate (Robert) and Shyrl Stadler, both of Reidsville; sons: Vince Stadler (Cathy) and Bentley Stadler (Angela), both of Reidsville; grandchildren: John Cate; Nathan Cate (Haley); Jacob Stadler; Makayla Stadler Theyerl (Nick); and Jared Stadler; and great-grandchildren: Elanor Cate, Everett Cate, Jacob Cate, Olivia Cate, Amelia Cate, and Lilianna Cate, sister: Jean Pollock of Reidsville; and brother. J.D. Stadler of Charlotte; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will see friends 6:00-8:00 P.M. Sunday, November 10, 2024 at Citty Funeral Home and, at other times, at the residence.
