Obituary: MIKE KASTEN

John Michael “Mike” Kasten, 81, of Stoneville passed away Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at his home.

A Graveside Service will be held at 2pm Saturday, November 30, 2024 at Stoneville Municipal Cemetery. Family and friends will be received at 464 Smith Rd, Stoneville.

Mike was born September 23, 1943 in Rockingham County, NC, to the late Roy Joseph Kasten and Iola Mae Kallam Kasten. He worked for Pluma as an operator in the fabric department until his retirement.

Surviving are his daughters, Kris Kasten and Kim Kallam (Dustin); son, John Michael Kasten, II; grandchildren, Kreed Biggs, Hailey Kasten, and Hunter Kallam; brothers, Edward Kasten, Larry Kasten, Jerry Kasten (Carol); sister, Dorothy “Dot” Evans; special brother-in-law, Chuck Hundley (Lisa); numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Mike is preceded in death by his loving wife, Carla Hundley Kasten; sisters, Janine Wright and Ann Ethridge.
