Michael Leon Wilkerson, the beloved husband of Sabrina Baldenegro Wilkerson, departed this life on Friday, December 16, 2023.
Born on November 1, 1986, he was the offspring of John Patrick and the late Camille Wilkerson. He was a native of Guilford County and a resident of Rockingham County for the majority of his life. Michael was nurtured by the influences of a Christian family, which resulted in him attending Gethsemane Christian Church. Being a loving and caring person, he was one that would always go out of his way for others. He never met any strangers and would talk to anyone he crossed paths with. His loving personality is what drew others toward him. As an inspiring artist, Michael was into writing and performing music he wrote. He had the opportunity to perform in various places and on many stages. He will always be remembered for his kind heart and loving spirit. He will be deeply missed.
In addition to his mother, grandfathers, and a host of aunts and uncles, preceded him in death.
Survivors are: wife, Sabrina Wilkerson; beloved father, John Patrick; sister, Anitra Amankwah (Evans); brother, Drea Patrick Dricolle; grandmothers, Marjorie Wilkerson and Bernice Patrick; aunt, Anita Wilkeson; uncles, Pastor James O. Patrick (Lense) and Andre Wilkerson; step-children, Douglas Lowe, Andrew Lowe, Donte Lowe, Priscilla Boyar and Christian Boyar; sister-in-law, Sigourney Smith-Ramirez (Gerardo); cousins, Antania Wilkerson, Ryan Wilkerson, Gary Wilkerson (Jennifer) and Qumiesha Wilkerson; devoted friends, Shawn Norman, James Price and Sharon Wheeler (Abigail); additional cousins, relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 22, 2023 from the Cornerstone Christian Center, 516 North Scales Street with Rev. Thomas W. Williamson, Sr. presiding and Bishop James Patrick, the eulogist. The family visitation will be Friday from 12:30 until 1:00 p.m. at the church. Public viewing will be Thursday afternoon at Johnson & Sons, 115 Holderby Street.
