Michael Eddy Fulcher, 68, of Madison, NC, passed away unexpectedly at Cone Health Annie Penn Hospital in Reidsville, NC on Sunday, June 5, 2022.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at Old Country Church, 241 Sisk Mill Loop, Madison, NC 27025 with Reverend Donnie Chandler officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 1 p.m. on Wednesday at the church and all other times at the residence. Friends may sign a register and view Mr. Fulcher from 12 p.m. until 5 p.m. on Tuesday at Colonial Funeral Home in Madison.
Michael worked at Sharpe Images in Winston Salem, NC for 32 years. He loved fishing, cookouts where he was chief grill master, Nascar racing, wood working, and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Althea Hundley Fulcher, of the home; daughter and son in law, Tamera Morton and husband, Barry Morton of Mt. Airy, NC; son, Derrick Miles of Beulaville, NC; three grandchildren, Sage White of Mt. Airy, Sydney Freeman and husband, Devin, also of Mt. Airy and Grace Miles of Beulaville; three great grandchildren, Xander White, Ivy Freeman and Maple Freeman; brother, Larry Ellison of Winston-Salem; along with several nieces and nephews.
Michael was preceded in death by his mother, Callie Ross Vestal; brother, J.C. Ellison and grandparents, Pa & Nanny Ross.
The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff, in particular, Dr. Rourk and Dr. Mesner of Cone Health Annie Penn Hospital for their compassion and personal attention given to Michael during his time there.
