Obituary: MICHAEL BERNARD COBB. SR

Mr. Michael Bernard Cobb, Sr., age 57, passed away Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at his residence.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 5, 2023 at 1 p.m. at Cornerstone Christian Center, 516 N. Scales Street, Reidsville, NC. The family visitation and masonic rites will begin at 12 p.m.

Interment will follow in Greenview Cemetery.

Public viewing Tuesday, July 4, 2023 from 12 until 7 p.m. at McLaurin-Harris Funeral Home, 721 East Morehead Street, Reidsville, NC.

Michael was born in Rockingham County on July 28, 1965 to Hosea Cobb and Claudette Hairston Cobb Hampton.

He was educated in the local public schools and graduated from Reidsville Senior High School.

For several years he was employed as an Assistant Store Manager with Lowes Home Improvement.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother-in-laws, Solomon Neblett and Freddie Cummings.

Survivors include wife, Phyllis Blackwell Cobb; son, Minister Michael Bernard Cobb, Jr. (Minister Kelly); daughter, Keya Michelle Cobb; grandchildren, Micah Isiah Cobb and Kalynn Jelani Fountain; siblings, Apostle Marilyn Anette Neblett, Gregory McNeil Cobb (Tynesha) and Cheryl Cobb Hampton; aunts, Catherine Cogdell (Joe) and Bessie Cobb; uncle, Richard Cobb; father and mother-in-law, Warzell and Irene Blackwell; sister-in-laws, Ava Jean Cummings, and Valerie Blackwell; brother-in-laws, Avery Blackwell adn Dale Blackwell (Myra); a host of relatives and friends.
