Melissa T. Bullins, 58, died on Saturday, October 28, 2023 at Moses Cone Hospital.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 4, 2023 in the Colonial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Woodland Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday at Colonial Funeral Home in Madison and all other times at the home of her daughter, Lorrie Lemons.
Melissa was born on September 30, 1965 in Rockingham County to Peggy Williams Taylor and the late Chester Odell Taylor. She enjoyed reading and walking, however her greatest joy was spending time with and caring for her beloved grandchildren.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Jason and Bertha Williams.
In addition to her mother, survivors include her son, Jerry Lee Lewis, Jr. (Jessica); daughter, Lorrie Nicole Lemons (James); grandchildren, Austin Lemons, Nathan Lemons, Hunter Lewis, Callie Lemons and Jason Lewis; sisters, Cindy Turman (Paul) and Julie Taylor (Scott) and many extended family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Colonial Funeral Home, 127 Ellisboro Road, Madison, NC 27025 to assist the family with expenses.
