Obituary: MELINDA ANN HOLDER CALCUTT

Melinda Ann Holder Calcutt, 64, of Madison, passed away on Sunday, March 12, 2023, at her home.

A 7:00 p.m. memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2023, at Ray Funeral Home with Rev. Randy Jessup officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service beginning at 6:00 p.m.

Melinda was born in Forsyth County on August 11, 1958, to the late Joseph and Lawanda Harrell Holder. To know Melinda was to love her. She obtained her nursing degree from Forsyth Tech. She loved all animals, especially dogs, cats, and horses. She spent her life training k-9’s, being the founder of Toby’s K9 Obedience School and also owned her own cleaning business. Melinda enjoyed camping, especially by the river, and loved the Carolina Panthers and Tar Heels. She will be missed by all that knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Richard Allen Holder; and her cat, Tater.

Those left to cherish her memory are her aunt, Phyllis Neal, who was like a mother to her; her special friends and caregivers, Lisa Bowden, Connie Martin, Chasity Tucker, and Samantha Haley; and her fur babies, Shamrock, Gizzy, Harley, and Toby, Jr.
