Obituary: McARTHUR “MAC” LAWSON

Mr. McArthur “Mac” Lawson, age 62, passed away Friday, June 6, 2025 at his residence.

Public viewing will begin on Wednesday, June 11, 2025 from 12 until 7 p.m. at McLaurin-Harris Funeral Home, 721 East Morehead Street, Reidsville, NC.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 12, 2025 at 2 p.m. from the First Baptist Church, 401 Hubbard Street, Reidsville, NC. The family visitation will take place at 1:30 p.m. Pastor Troy Manns, eulogist.

The committal and interment with military honors performed by the United States Army Honor Guard will follow in the Wentworth Baptist Church Cemetery, Reidsville, NC.

All other times, the family will receive friends at the residence, 906 Walnut Street, Reidsville, NC.

He was born in Rockingham County, NC on August 4, 1962 to Evelyn Fountain and Reverend George Pickard.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Lavern Pickard.

Survivors include children, Maurice Lawson, Montae Lawson, Marcus Lawson and Malik Lawson, mother, Evelyn Lawson; father, Reverend George Pickard (Ernestine); siblings, Eric Johnson, Johnnie Ray, George Lawson, Marietta Lawson, Loretta Jenkins and Lavatry Pickard; a host of relatives and friends.
