Maxine Browers Bringle, 92, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 24, 2024.

A celebration of life will be held at Wilkerson Funeral Home on Saturday, July 27, 2024, at 3:00 PM with Pastor Phil Surrett officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Maxine was born in Rockingham County to the late Joel Maxwell Bowers and Eulala Armstrong Bowers. She was an avid golfer and never met a stranger. She retired as a 6th grade schoolteacher with Reidsville City Schools. She enjoyed traveling, working in the yard, and occasionally going to the casino. Most of all she loved her family, especially her grandchildren.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 36 years C.W. Bringle; brothers, Harold Eugene Bowers of Statesville, NC and Robert L Bowers of Eden, NC.

Maxine is survived by her daughter, Katheryn Bringle of Winston Salem; grandchildren, Anna Bringle of New York, NY and Leah Bringle of Raleigh, NC as well as a loving group of extended family and friends.
