Matthew Kane Steele, 33, died on Tuesday, August 8, 2023.
A celebration of his life will be held from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. on Saturday, August 12, 2023 at 391 Twin Creeks Dr., Stokesdale.
Matthew was born on August 28, 1989 in Guilford County. He was an accomplished welder, an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed motorcycles and anything motorsports. He was the best uncle to his beloved nephews and would do anything for anyone in need. His genuine and humble nature in recent years and his junk talking personality will forever be remembered.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Kenneth Steele; maternal grandfather, Cecil McArthur Flynt; paternal grandparents, Bud and Evadell Steele and aunt, Debra Minter.
Survivors include his mother, Angela Flynt Steele; brothers, Kenneth Dustin Steele (Tracey) and Alan Steele (Cidney); fiancé, Katie LouAnn Neal and son, Houston Fincher; maternal grandmother, Bettie Scott; nephews, Hunter Steele, Chase Steele, Liam Steele and Colin Steele; beloved canine and best friends, Sarge and Reba; beloved feline, Meow-Meow; aunts and uncles, Allen and Kristin Flynt, Scotty and Jennifer Flynt, Billy and Joyce Steele, Wendy and William Wilson, Jamie and Melanie Steele and Debbie Steele, along with many extended family members and friends.
