Ms. Mary Esther Graves departed this life on Thursday evening, October 13, 2022. 

She was a native of Rockingham County, North Carolina and a resident of Guilford County for the majority of her life.  Ms. Graves attended the local public schools and was a retiree of Cone Health System.  As a God-Fearing woman, she was a resolute member of Peace Ministries, serving as Church Mother and was a former member of Shiloh Church of God In Christ under the leadership of the Late Pastor Robert Taylor.  During her leisure, she enjoyed listening to gospel music and watching westerns. 

Her parents, Mary Stephens Graves and John Graves; siblings, Bruce Lee, Spencer Lee and Margie Courts, preceded her in death.

Survivors are: loving children, Patricia Herbin (Elder Roger), John Keen (Angela), Sarah Keen and Elder Vincent Walker (Sandra); 12 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; special friends, Delores Bridges Cobb and Rosa; other relatives and friends. 

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 23, 2022 from the Cornerstone Christian Center, 516 North Scales Street with Elder Roger Herbin presiding.  The family visitation will Sunday from 1:30 until 2:00 p.m. at the church.  Public viewing will be Saturday afternoon at Johnson & Sons, 115 Holderby Street.
