Obituary: MARY ELIZABETH PRUITT WOODS

Mary Elizabeth Pruitt Woods, 75, of Greensboro, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Sunday, April 23, 2023.
Funeral services will be held at Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel on April 27, 2023 at 3:00 PM with Pastor Chad Williams and Dr. Terry Lawson officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service and other times at the home (808 Pinoak Road, Greensboro, NC).
Mary was preceded in death by her parents Clarence and Helen Pruitt and brothers David and Wesley Pruitt. She was a member of Brown Summit Baptist Church and taught Sunday School for 40 years at Church Street Baptist Church where she ministered to the ladies and children. One of her other passions was helping students with special needs in Guilford County. She also volunteered with the enrichment program at Brown Summit Elementary School.
Mary is survived by her husband of 58 years, Elbert Wayne Woods of the home. Daughter Tabatha Herndon (Hilton) of Lexington, NC, son Joseph Woods (Alicia) of Hereford, AZ; 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; sister Barbara Watkins (Raymond) of Reidsville and brother Charles Pruitt (Talisa) of Reidsville and a large extended family who loved her.
