Mary Coffey Icenhour, 71, passed away early Friday morning, November 18, 2022, at Jacob’s Creek Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
There will be no formal services at this time.
Mary was born January 15, 1951 in Caldwell County, NC, to the late Harrison Thomas Coffey and Arizona C. Coffey. Mary (aka “Cookie”) lived in Caldwell County her entire life. She loved her family and took great pride in their accomplishments. “Cookie” was a very giving and kind person who loved church and enjoyed listening to classic country, gospel and blue grass music.
She was loved by many and will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her husband, Dane Icenhour; son, Thomas Oakes and wife, Jeannie, of Madison; daughter, Jewel Beaver of Lenoir; six grandchildren, Jessica Oakes, Justin Oakes, Billy Beaver, Tommy Beaver, Jackie Beaver and Jennifer Beaver; along with her brother, Dewey Coffey of Lenoir.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Don, Ralph, Claude, Shirley and Connie Lea.
