Obituary: MARTIN D. HARRIS, SR

Martin Dubra Harris, Sr., age 101 of Ridgeway, VA passed away Thursday November 21st, 2024 at the ECU Health Medical Center in Greenville, NC.

A Funeral Service will be held 11:00 am Wednesday November 27th at the Spray United Methodist Church with burial to follow at Ridgeview Memorial Gardens in Eden. Visitation will be held Tuesday evening November 26th 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Fair Funeral Home.

Martin was born to the late Posie Robert Harris and Etta Dalton Harris on October 26, 1923 in Patrick County, VA. He served his country in the U.S. Navy and was a member of Spray United Methodist Church. Martin worked for Nationwide Insurance Company as a salesman before retiring.

Surviving Martin are his sons Martin D. Harris, Jr. of Martinsville, VA, Gregory S. Harris and wife Rebecca of Greensville, NC, grandson Steven Darr and sisters Julia Somers and Shirley Williams of Reidsville, NC. Preceding him in death along with his parents are his wife Louise Harris, daughter-in-law Martha Harris, grandson Dale Darr, brothers Joel, Goffrey, Dennis and Leonard Harris and sisters Sallie Mae Conner, Virginia Pearl Hundley, Gaynell Paschall, and Katherine Cox.
