Mark Anthony McCollum, 60, of Reidsville passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, June 25, 2023.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, June 28, 2023, at Evergreen Cemetery with Pastor Joe Tartarski officiating. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at Wilkerson Funeral Home.
Mark was born to Louise Bray Wray and the late Elbert Wilson McCollum Jr. He graduated from the Cerebral Palsy School in Greensboro. Mark was a faithful member of Penn Memorial Baptist Church until he was physically unable to attend. He loved NASCAR and was a loyal Kyle Busch fan. Mark was a sensitive and kind person, he always remained positive despite dealing with physical challenges. He loved to be as active as he was able and often helped his mother with flower arrangements and other tasks. Most of all he loved his family. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Along with his father, he is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, William and Mamie Bray; paternal grandparents, Gladys Strader and Elbert Wilson McCollum Sr.
He is survived by his loving mother, Louise Bray Wray; sister, Renee McCollum Martinez; niece, Marina Raquel Martinez as well as a large and loving group of extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
