

Marie Hooker Bowman, 84, died on Monday, May 26, 2025 at Gibson House Hospice.
Marie was born on November 30, 1940 in Stokes County to the late William Hardin Hooker and Myrtle Grogan Hooker. She retired from MacField/Unifi, Inc. as a machine operator and will forever be remembered for diligent work ethic and her love of watching the New York Yankees play. Above all, she proudly devoted her life to her family and helping raise her beloved grandsons.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Henry Bowman; daughter, Teressa B. Collins; brother, Bobby Hooker; sister, Patricia Bullins and infant twin sister, Mary Mozelle Hooker.
Survivors include her special grandsons, Caleb Collins and Cason Collins; step-daughter, Debbie Davis; son-in-law, Walter “Wally” Collins; brothers, William Hooker (Barbara), Cecil Hooker and Steve Hooker (Natalie); sisters, Cathy Craddock (Cliff) and Becky Grant (Tommy).
The family would to thank family friends, Betty Johnson and Billy Moorefield for their loving and attentive care.
