

Marie Ann Fulton Purgason, 81, died on Friday, February 14, 2025 at Gibson House Hospice.
Marie was born on July 17, 1943 in Stokes County to the late Watt Fulton and Austin Fulton Fulp. She was a faithful member of Palestine Methodist Church for over fifty years. She had a passion for canning, growing and cooking, which brought joy to many family and friends. After a dedicated career, she retired from Burlington Industries after twenty-four years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Purgason and special family friend, Tommy Webster.
Survivors include her daughter, Melissa P. Powers; brother, Phillip Fulton (Jane); nephew, Jimmy Fulton (Kimberley); great-nephew and great-niece, Elie and Eli Fulton and special family friend, Sue Webster.
