Obituary: MARIAN DODSON SHEPPARD

Marian Faye Dodson Sheppard, 93, died on Friday, May 19, 2023 at Gibson House Hospice.

A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, May 28, 2023 at Knollhurst Memorial Gardens. The family will greet friends immediately following the service and all other times at the home of her sister, Betty Puckett.

Mrs. Sheppard was born on December 15, 1929 in Stokes County to the late Charlie Anderson Dodson and Claudie Mae Bullins Dodson. She enjoyed crafting, nurturing her flowers and fellowshipping with the Huntsville seniors when meetings were once held.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Reed Euel Sheppard; brothers, Homie Anderson Dodson, Lewis Edison Dodson and James Jackson Dodson and sister, Janie Shelton.

Survivors include her sisters, Betty Puckett (Elzie) of Madison, Hazel Hooker of Pine Hall and Ethel Fulcher of Ferrum, Virginia and several special nieces and nephews on both the Dodson and Sheppard sides of the family.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Hospice of Rockingham County for their wonderful and compassionate care.
