Margie Priddy Shelton, 88, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 1, 2023 at North Pointe of Mayodan.
The funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, November 5, 2023 at Amazing Grace Baptist Church with Pastor Howard Owens officiating. Interment will follow in Mayodan Municipal Cemetery. The family will receive friends beginning at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday at the church.
Mrs. Shelton was born on May 9, 1935 in Stokes County to the late Neil Priddy and Vina Mabe Priddy. She retired from Unifi, Inc. and was a member of Amazing Grace Baptist Church. Margie was a loving wife and wonderful mother and sister who loved her church family and enjoyed reading God’s Word. She will be missed by all, including her friends at North Pointe of Mayodan.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Sterling Shelton and siblings, Elmer Priddy, Garland Priddy, Ruby Tuggle and Doris Bunker.
She is survived by her children, David Wilson, Anthony “Tony” Joyce (Laranda), Melissa Shelton Hoff (Ron) and Kimberly Renee Shelton; grandchildren, Anthony Joyce, Beth Joyce, Brandon Hoff (Heather), Jessica Hoff Cottingham (Davis) and Michelle Priddy Lewis; great-grandchildren, Haden Joyce, Avery Russell, Landon Joyce, Ty Strazzeri, Cody Dean Alsop, Noah Alsop and Bailey Hoff; siblings, Clarice Belton (James), Bill Priddy, Maxine Hylton, Diane Collins, Glenda Shelton, Talmadge Priddy (Gail), and Gail Priddy along with many extended family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Amazing Grace Baptist Church and/or the Alzheimer’s Association (www.alz.org).
